ABOUT

I qualified as an Optometrist, also known as an Ophthalmic Optician, in Queensland Australia in 1979.

After graduation I worked in Queensland and the Northern Territory for five years providing a flying Optometric service to remote communities in the outback.  This unique role gave me access to more primary eye care and unusual medical conditions than the usual graduate optometrist.

In 1985 I left my native Australia and set up in England, working in Knightsbridge in central London before moving to Bath in 1986 where I worked for an optical chain. I opened my own practice here in Bath in 2000.

Delivering an unrivaled service is my top priority.

Ethos

I invest in the very best equipment and continually extend my own knowledge in order to provide my clients with the high level of service they deserve. I have strong relations with the Ophthalmological and medical communities in Bath, and attend many continuing education seminars.

My ethos is to offer something different to the impersonal experience that can occur in large optician chains. I aim to provide you with the optimum value for money, identifying what is best for your eyesight needs, and providing it in a friendly, enjoyable atmosphere.

Brad Abrahams Optometry is proud to be at the forefront of Optical developments and we remain ahead of the game when it comes to lens and contact lens technology.

We are dedicated to providing you with the most advanced eye examination possible by offering the most advanced equipment and eye care processes available to us, including an Optomap Imaging Unit and an OCT Scanner for unrivalled examination of the retina. Currently unavailable in most optical chains in the South West.

Suiting a frame to a face and having a wide choice is important. We succeed on both counts here. Our team really know their profession and have an instinctive knowledge of what frame suits which face, coupled with uncompromising honesty on frame suitability.

We have three floors displaying over 800 different frames and sunglasses.
